Nottingham Forest have signed former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Bundesliga side Wolfsburg last season.
Bendtner started his career at Arsenal, where he scored 24 league goals in 108 appearances over seven Premier League seasons.
Nottingham Forest owner and chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi confirmed the Dane's arrival at the City Ground.
"Please welcome Nicklas Bendtner who has joined #NFFC on a two-year deal," he said on Twitter.
Bendtner becomes Nottingham Forest's 12th new signing since the appointment of Philippe Montanier as head coach over the summer, and could make his debut on Sunday against Aston Villa.
Nottingham Forest have been drawn to play Arsenal at home in the third round of the EFL Cup later this month, meaning Bendtner could be in line for a reunion with his former club.
Regarding his return to England, the Denmark international explained to Sky Sports News HQ why he chose to join Forest.
"It was the way they made me feel. The philosophy of the training was something I could see myself being a big part of.
"So I was pleased to sign here. I had other options but my main goal was to come back to England. I'm still young. Still have a lot of things I want to prove - it was the right decision.
"I don't know if the football suits me best but my heart lies in England and the Championship is a strong league.
"It's competitive and there are six or seven clubs who could play in the Premier League."
