New Swansea signing Fernando Llorente misses a sitter on his debut against Stade Rennais

New signing Fernando Llorente made an impressive debut for Swansea in their 1-0 friendly win over Stade Rennais on Sunday - with one glaring exception.

To his credit, striker Llorente asked boss Francesco Guidolin to play in the game, less than 24 hours after arriving in south Wales from Sevilla.

He showed plenty of energy and some decent touches in his 60 minutes of action at the Liberty Stadium - but blew his big chance to score a goal in rather embarrassing fashion.

Winger Wayne Routledge fired the most inviting of low crosses from the right-hand side to the back post where Llorente, from a yard out, somehow contrived to miss, tapping the ball against the post.
