Crewe midfielder Ryan Wintle has signed a new 18-month contract with the option of another year, the club has confirmed.
The 18-year-old joined the club from non-league Alsager Town on an 18-month deal in January last year, but could now remain at the Alexandra Stadium until the summer of 2018.
Wintle made his senior debut as a substitute in a 2-0 Sky Bet League 1 defeat at Bradford on November 14 and made two more senior appearances before succumbing to injury.
