Gillingham have strengthened their attacking options with the loan signing of Fulham and Wales forward George Williams.

The 20-year-old moves to Priestfield Stadium for the remainder of the season, with an option to remain with the Gills if they finish in the Sky Bet League One play-off places.

Williams, who began his career with MK Dons before switching to Fulham in 2012, will go straight into the squad to face Barnsley on Saturday.

Gills boss Justin Edinburgh said on the club's official website: "We are delighted to have George on board, we have been looking to add to our attacking options for a while and he fits the bill perfectly.

"He has experience of league and international football and I have no doubt he will offer our forward line something different between now and the end of the season."

A year ago Williams' loan stay back at MK Dons was cut short due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which kept him on the sidelines for six months.
