Loan move for Gills midfielder

Gillingham midfielder Andrew Crofts has joined Wrexham on loan until the end of the season. The Blue Square Premier outfit will then have the option to make the move permanent should they wish to do so. Wales international Crofts has also spent time on loan at Peterborough this season after failing to hold down regular football at Priestfield. He is set to be out of contract in the summer and Wrexham boss Dean Saunders believes the talented 24-year-old will prove to be a fine addition to his squad. He told the Dragons' official website: "He's coming to help Wrexham in our final push for promotion, and I know of his qualities from working with him at Wales. "This boy could end up playing in the Premiership one day. He played against Holland last summer for Wales and made a very good impression on the coaching staff. "This is a major coup for the club and shows the ambition of both the chairman and myself in trying to get Wrexham promoted out of this league."
