Hereford striker expected to join Bournemouth

Hereford chairman Graham Turner expects striker Marc Pugh to join Bournemouth after recently rejecting an improved contract at Edgar Street. Pugh bagged 13 goals during his debut season for the Bulls and his efforts have not gone unnoticed by promoted Bournemouth, who have made their move after the 23-year-old turned down a new two-year deal last week. But Turner insists there remains plenty of work to be done to agree a fee, telling the club's official website: "It looks likely that he will finish up at Bournemouth, we are trying to resolve the situation with them. "They have made a very small offer which is far, far from acceptable. I think it's lined up for us to finish with a tribunal." Elsewhere, midfielder James McQuilkin has now put pen to paper on a new one-year contract. Talks are ongoing with Gavin McCallum's agent over an improved offer while the club are still waiting for answers from Kenny Lunt, Ryan Green, Darren Jones and Richard Rose.
