Robins boss has no funds to spend on fresh faces

Cheltenham boss Martin Allen has revealed that he will not be able to buy himself out of an injury crisis. The Robins are currently without a number of key men, with captain Shane Duff and influential team-mates Oliver Bozanic, Elvis Hammond and Drissa Diallo all picking up knocks in Saturday's dramatic 5-4 defeat to Bradford. The quartet join Michael Pook on the treatment table, with the midfielder currently carrying a knee problem. Bozanic has returned to parent club Reading for treatment on his knee ligament damage, Duff is set to undergo a scan on a calf problem, Hammond damaged ankle ligaments and Diallo also sustained an ankle problem. But Allen told the Gloucestershire Echo: "I can't look at the transfer market because we don't have any money. "Let's not kid ourselves. We all knew that when we started. We're at our budget limits as set by the chairman and we have to respect that. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. "A couple of the injuries don't look too good, but I'm not going to comment until we've had the scans done. We need those players playing, but that isn't going to happen for a while I don't think."
