Wolves' rise to the top of the table has been recognised with their manager and star man for February both in the running for gongs.
Fifth-placed Rotherham also boast a brace of nominees, with boss Steve Evans and midfielder Lee Frecklington selected on the respective shortlists.
Preston's Simon Grayson and Sheffield United's Nigel Clough complete the managerial contenders, while Bradford midfielder Gary Jones and Tranmere goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams are also up for the Player of the Month award.
The judging panel is chaired by former Football League manager Dave Bassett with Sky Sports' Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League chief operating officer Andy Williamson; League Managers' director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet head of football Paul Wiggins.
The winners will be announced on Friday morning.
Here, Sky Sports considers more closely the managers in contention.
Kenny Jackett (Wolves)
Circumstances limited Jackett's team to three games in the month, but he masterminded a pivotal 3-0 victory at promotion rivals Brentford as Wolves picked up maximum points without conceding a goal to move top of the table.
Steve Evans (Rotherham)
Evans' attacking principles were on full show as the Millers continued their free-scoring ways. They hit at least two goals in every February game, including victory over Leyton Orient, for a haul of 10 points from four matches.
Simon Grayson (Preston)
An emotional month for all concerned at Deepdale was made a touch easier by performances on the pitch. Grayson instilled consistency into his North End team as they collected three wins and three draws for 12 points in February.
Nigel Clough (Sheffield United)
A frantically busy February combined four wins from five games with FA Cup progress as the Blades embraced their manager's principles of hard work and solidarity. Clough's team kept four clean sheets and moved up to mid-table.
Sky Sports also takes a look at those in the mix to be named Player of the Month.
Michael Jacobs (Wolves)
Molineux midfielder Jacobs made a huge impact with four goals in three games. Joining in the attack, he scored twice against Notts County and again in the 3-0 win at Brentford, arriving at pace for the first and striking a composed curler for the second.
Lee Frecklington (Rotherham)
Inspired by his new role as stand-in captain, Millers central midfielder Frecklington was everywhere in February, tackling back, spreading play and striding forward to score three goals, including a lovely tight-angled finish against Preston.
Owain Fon Williams (Tranmere)
Rovers goalkeeper Williams was at his spectacular shot-stopping best in February. A wonderful display at Milton Keynes Dons helped Rovers seal a vital 1-0 win. He pulled off a key triple save against Coventry and a jaw-dropping, back-arching effort against Preston.
Gary Jones (Bradford)
The Bantams' veteran midfielder rediscovered his zest, driving his side on by example at both ends to turn around their fortunes. The highlights were two wonderful long-range strikes in the 3-3 draw against Crewe, one with his left foot, the other his right.
