Millers loan out Yates

Rotherham have allowed Jamie Yates to join Blue Square Premier leaders Burton Albion on loan.

Youngster sent to Burton

Rotherham have allowed Jamie Yates to join Blue Square Premier leaders Burton Albion on a month-long loan. The winger has struggled to hold down a regular first-team role with the Millers this season and has been restricted to only a handful of appearances as a result. With that in mind, it has been decided that the 20-year-old will benefit from gaining valuable experience at the Pirelli Stadium. "This move will present Jamie with some vital first-team games," the Millers' chief operations officer Paul Douglas told the club's official website. "The manager (Mark Robins) felt that with Jamie not being in the first-team at present the time was right for him to go out on loan. "Nigel Clough has got Burton moving in the right direction so the experience of some competitive action can only benefit Jamie and as a result he will return a better player for the experience."
