Scott hoping to bring in Saunders and Strevens

Brentford are hoping to agree deals to sign Dagenham & Redbridge duo Sam Saunders and Ben Strevens. Midfielder Saunders and striker Strevens are both out of contract at Dagenham and are attracting plenty of interest. Strevens has been linked with the likes of Huddersfield Town and Exeter City, and was wanted by Wycombe Wanderers during the January transfer window. Bees boss Andy Scott expects to face competition for the two players, but is hopeful of persuading Saunders and Strevens to move to Griffin Park. Scott told told the Hounslow Chronicle: "Both players did very well last season and I am interested in them. I have spoken to their agents, so we'll see what happens. "Other clubs will be interested, but I'd like to think that when I show them what we are doing here they will see a move to Brentford is beneficial to both sides. "With Charlie MacDonald possibly out for the start of the season we need to improve our strike rate from the right wing, and it's no secret we struggled there at times last season."
