Luton have signed Glen Rea on a two-year deal following a successful loan spell from Brighton.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder joined the Hatters on loan in March and made 10 appearances before returning to his parent club at the end of the season.

Rea was offered a contract extension with Sky Bet Championship side Brighton but decided to re-join Luton for an undisclosed fee.

Hatters manager Nathan Jones told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have Glen here. He's a player I know from working with him for three years at Brighton and we had him on loan here last season, when he did very well for us.

"He's a player and a character that I've got a lot of time for, and I'm delighted to add him to the squad."

Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Rea said: "I'm absolutely buzzing.
