Exeter have signed Crystal Palace youngster Luke Croll on loan until January.
"It is a much-needed signing in a problematic area that has arose for us in the last three or four weeks," City manager Paul Tisdale told the club's official website.
"He is a left-sided defender, predominantly a centre-back. We have discussed him, and others, over the past week or two and he fitted the bill in many ways."
Croll, who joined the Palace academy at the age of nine, has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Eagles but had a spell loan at Plymouth last season.
