Crewe have delved into the loan market with a double swoop as they look to push away from the relegation zone in Sky Bet League Two.
Middlesbrough midfielder Callum Cooke, 19, and 23-year-old Scunthorpe striker Jonathon Margetts have both joined for the rest of the season, Crewe announced.
Cooke is a former England Under-19 international who came through the youth system at Boro, making 14 appearances in Premier League 2 this season.
Margetts started the season at Lincoln before joining the Iron after scoring five goals in seven appearances, but he has struggled to get regular first-team football at Glanford Park.
He started his career at Tranmere and has had previous loan experiences at Gainsborough, Stockport, Altrincham and Southport.
