Loan striker suffers injury on County bow

Danny Crow's loan move to Notts County is already over after he suffered a broken metatarsal on his debut. The striker, signed from League Two rivals Peterborough for a month, sustained the injury 60 minutes into the 3-1 defeat by Bury. Crow could now be out of action for up to two months and is set to return to London Road for treatment on the injury.

Shame

Magpies manager Steve Thompson told the club's official website: "It is bitterly disappointing for Danny, and he could be out for anything between six and eight weeks. "It is a real shame because the crowd really warmed to him and I thought he put in an outstanding performance. "There seems to be no luck going our way with injuries right now." Notts are already without striker Jason Lee after he suffered a hairline fracture to his forearm in training on Thursday.
