Chester hold onto prized midfielder

Wrexham boss Brian Little bid to land Chester midfielder Kevin Ellison appears to have failed. The Dragons are bottom of the league and Little has pursued Ellison to bolster their bid to beat the drop. The 29-year-old has netted 10 goals this season, making him the subject of transfer speculation in the January window. But Little has accepted Chester's determination to keep hold of the player.

Not happening

He told the Chester Evening Leader: "It is not something that seems to be happening. "I think it is common knowledge we have been interested in Kevin for a while. He is someone we have asked questions about on a few occasions. "Getting a potential match winner is a target most people won't let go. I can understand why Chester are holding onto him and we have to accept that."
