Veteran defender moves to promotion hopefuls

Wycombe's bid for promotion from League Two has been bolstered by the loan signing of Lincoln City defender Frank Sinclair. The 37-year old will join the club until the end of the season as boss Peter Taylor is reunited with a player he worked with at Leicester. Wycombe currently lie in fourth, just one point behind Gillingham and automatic promotion. "I wanted a bit of experience for our nine games between now and the end of the season and that's exactly what he'll bring," Taylor told the club's official website.

Imps perspective

Lincoln boss Peter Jackson feels the deal suits all parties as it allows him to take a look at some of the club's younger players between now and the campaign's close. "The opportunity came for Frank to go to Wycombe and I feel the move will be good for both parties," Jackson told the club's official website. "Frank was due a new contract when he'd reached 25 games for us but when you look at our league position I've got to start planning for next season. "I want to give some of my younger players an opportunity to impress."
