Goalkeeper leaves Accrington for League Two rivals

Goalkeeper Kenny Arthur has joined Rochdale from League Two rivals Accrington Stanley. The 29-year-old turned down the opportunity to sign a new two-year deal with Accrington and will move to Spotland on 1st July. Arthur impressed for Stanley last season and his exit will come as a major setback to the cash-strapped club. Rochdale boss Keith Hill has received a further boost with the news that full-back Scott Wiseman has agreed a one-year deal with the club. The popular defender was initially released at the end of the season but Simon Ramsden's impending departure has opened the door for his return. Wiseman told the club's official website: "It is a massive relief that we have sorted things out. It looked like I was going to be going somewhere else but luckily it has all come together."
