Teeside businessman Raj Singh and Sky Sports’ Jeff Stelling are set to complete their takeover of Hartlepool United in the next 24 hours.
Singh and Stelling will finally complete their protracted purchase for £1, before then ploughing in £1.2m generated by their consortium.
Final paperwork is being completed and the takeover could be announced later on Wednesday.
Former Darlington owner Singh watched the 2-1 home win over Bromley from the director's box last night.
He is set to appoint former manager Craig Hignett as director of football. Hignett was present alongside Singh last night.
Caretaker boss Matthew Bates is expected to remain in charge of the first team until the end of the season.
Singh and Stelling remain open to outside investment from interested parties.
