Tim Sherwood speaks to Goals on Sunday about his Swindon future

Tim Sherwood says he is unsure whether he will remain as Swindon Town's director of football following their relegation to League Two.

Speaking on Goals on Sunday, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager told Ben and Kammy that the role at Swindon was always intended to be a short-term position.

Sherwood added that he was disappointed to see the club drop into Sky Bet League Two, with defeat by Scunthorpe on Saturday sealing their fate.

"It's a real shame [relegation]. I was asked to go in there - Lee Power, the owner, is a friend of mine; he asked me to go and have a look at things from a football side because he spends a lot of time in Switzerland now," Sherwood said.

"I went in there and tried to recruit some players in January. They were already in a little bit of a mess; we managed to bring in seven players but unfortunately it wasn't good enough.
