Wolves midfielder moves to Hillsborough on loan

Sheffield Wednesday have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of Wolves midfielder Darren Potter until the end of the season. Owls boss Brian Laws is now set to hand the Republic of Ireland international his debut in Saturday's clash with struggling Charlton. Laws is confident Potter will bring something extra to the club as they look to re-ignite their fading play-off challenge. Laws said: "Darren is a box-to box-midfielder, very athletic and he can see a pass. "He can certainly add to our midfield. He's hungry, enthusiastic and has a desire to play football. He's another part of our plan." Potter started out as a trainee at Liverpool before completing a £250,000 move to Molineux in January 2007 following a sucessful loan spell. But he has fallen down the pecking order and is yet to feature in Wolves manager Mick McCarthy's first team this season.
