Crawley have signed striker James Collins on a three-year deal after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent at Shrewsbury.
The 25-year-old started his career with Aston Villa and was sent out on loan to Darlington and Burton before he initially joined Shrewsbury in 2011.
In his first full season Collins scored 16 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions as the Shrews were promoted from League Two.
The former Republic of Ireland U21 forward then took in spells at Swindon and Hibernian before returning to New Meadow in 2014.
However, after spending the latter half of last season on loan at Northampton, Collins has decided to make the switch to Crawley.
Crawley head coach Dermot Drummy told the club's official website: "He wants a new challenge and he comes with a very good goalscoring record in League Two.
"We look forward to working with him, making him a better player and to him being part of what we're trying to achieve long-term here at the club."
