Shrewsbury striker not sure of future

Dave Hibbert is keen to remain at Shrewsbury but is not yet sure where his future lies. The 24-year-old, who was the Shrews' top scorer and Player of the Year in their recent campaign, is out of contract this summer and has yet to be offered a new deal by the managerless club. Hibbert insists he wants to stay at the Prostar Stadium but is keeping his options open. "With the manager [Paul Simpson] losing his job, it's a bit of a waiting game. No-one's been offered anything yet," Hibbert told the club's official website. "Of course I'd like to stay. But I've got a child on the way, and things need to be right. "I get on well with the fans here, and I really appreciate them and I feel I've been a lot more consistent this season. "But the contracts haven't been sorted, and it's not easy."
