New Millwall signing Steve Mildenhall says joining the club was an 'easy decision' after penning a 12-month deal at the Den.
The 32-year-old joined Lions from Southend on Tuesday after his contract with the Shrimpers was cancelled by mutual consent.
And the goalkeeper insists he had no trouble making the decision to join the Londoners.
Decision
"I'm very pleased to be here. It took a couple of days and sometimes I thought it wouldn't happen, but now it has and it was an easy decision to come here," Mildenhall told Millwall's official website.
"The size of the club is massive and every time I have played here there has been an incredible atmosphere and Millwall have always had brilliant support.
"They are a good side, did really well to get promoted last season and I want to be around the type of players here - winners."
Mildenhall is looking forward to linking up with former Swindon team-mate Gary Alexander at the Den, as well as playing alongside his fellow keepers.
"I know Gaz from my time at Swindon so that will be a help but I also know David (Forde) from playing against him," he said.
"He is a very good keeper who did fantastically well last season and I have a lot of respect for what he has achieved since he has been at Millwall.
"I will enjoy working with David and hope to learn some things from him as I hope to impart some to him as well. However, only one of us can play and it is up to me to try and force the manager into picking me."
Success
Mildenhall insists Lions should not just be playing for safety but aiming for further success following their promotion last term.
"The size of the club means that we should set our sights high and try and win promotions every year," he added.
"The set-up here and the momentum from last year's success will help us achieve great things and I hope to be a part of that for many years to come."
