Woods happy to secure permanent signing of striker
Grimsby Town have agreed a two-year contract to sign Michael Coulson following the striker's release by Barnsley.
Coulson, who scored five goals in 29 appearances during a loan spell at Blundell Park last season, will finalise his permanent return to Grimsby subject to a medical.
Clubs in the Football League and Blue Square Premier had been keen on the 22-year-old and Mariners boss Neil Woods is delighted to have wrapped up the signing.
"Michael was very keen to come to the football club and I am pleased that it has now been done," Woods told the club's official website.
"He was excellent last season and there is a lot, lot more to come from him."
