Accrington striker Billy Kee has committed his future to the Sky Bet League Two club until 2018.

The 25-year-old, who returned to the Wham Stadium last summer, has scored 17 goals to help Stanley to fourth place.

Kee said: "I'm delighted, my family are delighted and my mum and dad are delighted. I've really enjoyed it this year.

"I'd probably say that it's been my best year in football and that shows because I'm playing with enjoyment every game, the lads are great and the gaffer (John Coleman) and (assistant manager) Jimmy (Bell) have been great.

"We're all really enjoying it and you can see that. I enjoy coming in every day, I have a smile on my face and I don't think that's been the case for the last six or seven years of my career."

Kee joins Matty Pearson, Sean McConville and Seamus Conneely in signing new contracts with the club.

Coleman said: "Billy's been really important to us this season. The onus of the way we play has never been on him to score all the goals but he's managed to score a lot as well as creating them for other players.

"He's led by example since coming back and the way he's led the line has been excellent. It's great news to have him here for another two years."
