Hamilton manager Martin Canning has vowed to remain in the job despite seeing his side dumped out of the Scottish Cup 4-1 by part-time League Two side Annan Athletic.
The defeat comes on the back of a poor run in the Scottish Premiership that has seen the Accies deliver just one win in their last 13 matches.
Matty Flynn scored the opening goal after six minutes before Josh Todd doubled Athletic's lead shortly after half-time.
Greg Docherty pulled a goal back for Hamilton but Rabin Omar added another straight from the kick-off before the same player completed the scoring at Galabank.
Annan advanced to the fifth round as a result of their first win over top-flight opposition but Canning is keen to stay on at New Douglas Park to try and turn around his side's poor run of form.
"I'm bitterly disappointed but credit to Annan," said the player/manager.
"We're a Premiership club and I expected us to come down here and win - but we were miles off the type of performance I ask for.
"As a manager, though, you've got to believe in yourself and that's something the players need to do too.
"Results-wise I know they've not been good enough of late but at least I've been able to say performances have been good. Today they were nowhere near that.
"But I'm not considering my own position. I still believe I can turn this team around. I proved it last season when we came out of the bad run we were on then.
"I'll obviously speak to the board and we will discuss it but at the minute I just want to focus on working hard."
In contrast, Annan boss Jim Chapman was understandably delighted with the result.
"My players deserve all the credit," he said.
"The result was brilliant but it was brought about last week when our game at Berwick was called off.
"Right away the entire squad headed here and started training for this match. Not many players would do that on a Saturday night.
"The players earned it and it is probably the biggest result in the club's history."
