Hearts sign 21-year-old French striker Dylan Bikey

Hearts have signed French striker Dylan Bikey following the end of his short-term deal with Stirling Albion.

The 21-year-old, who scored nine goals in as many games for the Scottish League Two side, previously played for Dieppe.

Bikey is available for selection for the Jambos' Scottish Premiership game away to Celtic on Sunday, live on Sky Sports, and he admitted he is excited to have completed his move to Tynecastle.

"I am very happy. This is a new challenge for me," he told the club's official website.

"It's a big club with a big stadium and it's a Premiership team, so I'm very happy to play for Hearts.

"It's a very big opportunity for me. This is my first time at a full-time professional club so it's a good opportunity for me.

"I enjoyed my time at Stirling Albion. I had good moments with them and I'd like to thank them and their fans for helping me when I first came to Scotland.

"Playing in the lower leagues has been hard. But I will try every day, I will learn and it's good for me.

Bikey becomes the fifth player signed by Hearts head coach Ian Cathro during the January transfer window.

Defenders Aaron Hughes and Lenny Sowah have joined on short-term deals until the end of the season, while French midfielder Malaury Martin has arrived on a free transfer and Slovenia full-back Andraz Struna has also made the move to Tynecastle.
