Inverness boss Richie Foran insists lightning can strike twice as he prepares for Saturday's Scottish Cup tie at Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers men are on course for a sensational unbeaten domestic clean sweep but the memory of an historic day in Glasgow 17 years ago gives Foran cause for hope.
Steve Paterson's heroes of 2000 inspired memorable headlines after their shock 3-1 win in the Scottish Cup over John Barnes' Celtic at Parkhead.
The result precipitated the end for Barnes' ill-fated eight-month reign and the former England international later admitted the result "was just an accident waiting to happen".
Foran's team put the only dent in Celtic's 100% domestic record with a 2-2 draw at the Caledonian stadium in September and, despite their on-going struggles in the league, the manager insists Caley Thistle can upset the odds again this weekend.
He told the Highland News: "Celtic are the home team and no one in the world is expecting Inverness to win, but shocks happen. It's happened before and it can happen again. I believe that we can cause a shock on Saturday.
"Celtic are a fabulous team, the best in Scotland but even the best teams in the world have off days. We have to make sure that if they do then we capitalise on that."
