A 17-year-old woman is subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal over a social media post made to Celtic striker Scott Sinclair.
Sinclair referenced the message on Twitter on Tuesday night, coming a couple of days after he suffered racial abuse during Celtic's 5-1 win over Rangers at Ibrox.
The woman was arrested, and later released, over an alleged contravention of section 126 of the 2003 Communications Act, which refers to online abuse.
Sinclair responded on Twitter: "Absolutely disgusted yet again, how can a person use a child to promote racism, it's beyond me."
On Tuesday, Rangers fan Paul Kenny admitted making racial gestures towards Sinclair after he scored one of Celtic's goals in the final Old Firm clash of the season.
Kenny appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he admitted an offence contrary to the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act.
He was granted bail and will be sentenced at a later date and also faces sanctions from the club.
A statement read: "Rangers does not condone any form of unacceptable behaviour and makes that clear repeatedly in various messages and statements to supporters and the media. The club is contacting individuals informing them they will be receiving indefinite bans."
Police Scotland confirmed on Thursday that a second man, aged 27, had been arrested and taken into custody in connection with an alleged offence under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Act.
