Rangers boss Walter Smith is confident Kevin Thomson will be fit for next week's Uefa Cup final against Zenit St Petersburg.
Thomson limped out of the action during Rangers' 3-1 win over Dundee United on Saturday after picking up an ankle injury.
It was feared Thomson could miss next Wednesday's final at Eastlands, but Smith is hopeful the midfielder will recover in time to tackle Zenit.
"He took a knock on the ankle which was stiffening up at half-time and we thought we had a bit of a problem with it, as was the case. But the physios are hopeful he will be okay for the game on Wednesday," said Smith.
Nacho Novo impressed in the win against United scoring twice and Smith admits the diminutive Spaniard is playing his way into the starting line-up for next week's final.
"Nacho Novo's contribution overall has been terrific," added Smith.
"His goals today were more than welcome and he could have got himself a hat-trick which, for the amount of endeavour he put in, he would have deserved.
"The one thing my side don't lack is a level of character and determination to win a game and they showed that again today.
"It was a big game for both sides and we are delighted to win it."
