Midfielder fails medical after agreeing two-year contract

Kilmarnock's bid to sign Abdul Osman is in doubt after the midfielder failed a medical. Osman is hoping to link up with Kilmarnock on a two-year contract after spending last season with Gretna. But a back problem showed up in his medical and Killie boss Jim Jefferies admits the deal is looking unlikely to be completed. "Our medical people think the injury could return and if it does he would need an operation," said Jefferies in the Daily Record. "For that reason he failed the medical, which is sad because we were looking forward to signing Abdul. "We'll speak to his agent, but the deal is in doubt."
