Scot rejects Derby and Forest links

Motherwell midfielder Stephen Hughes has rejected reports linking him with a return to England. The former Leicester man is out of contract at the end of the season and he has been linked with moves to Derby and Nottingham Forest. Hughes is not worried about his contract situation and says he is happy with life at Fir Park.

Enjoying

"I'm enjoying my football here, I enjoyed it very much last season," said Hughes. "I will probably speak to the manager in the next couple of weeks but, first and foremost, I want to concentrate on winning games and the contract situation will take care of itself. "I have got to the end of the season, so there is plenty of time." When asked if a January move was an option, Hughes replied: "I think we'll wait to the end of the season. "I'm not looking to do anything. First and foremost, I'm just looking to get back to winning ways with Motherwell. That's the only thing that's on my mind. "I'm a Motherwell boy, I grew up here and my son and wife are settled here as well. "I'll just play to the end of the season and we'll see what happens."
