Andy Webster is open to leaving Rangers in search of first-team football, but is also willing to fight for his place at Ibrox.
Injuries have blighted his career of late, having made just 11 appearances for the likes of Wigan, Bristol City and Gers since leaving Hearts in 2006.
However, fit-again Webster is now frustrated at kicking his heels on the sidelines and has told
skysports.com he is desperate to get his career back on track.
"For any footballer your main aim is to play first-team football, so if any options become available to me I will have to consider them," he said.
"I would love to break back into the side here, but if I can play first-team football elsewhere I'll be happy to do so.
Frustrating
"The injuries have been a predominant part of my career in the last few years and it is very frustrating because all a footballer wants to do is get out on the pitch and play week in week out.
"Injuries did hamper my spell at Ashton Gate, but they are part and parcel in football and they certainly have had a huge impact on my career in the last couple of years."
Webster also stated no offers have been made for him as yet, but he realises some managers leave it late in the January transfer window.
"From what I know there hasn't been any interest shown in me, but obviously these things are often left to the last minute, so this weekend could see something happen," he continued.
"I haven't heard anything so I'm just putting my head down and working hard to get back into the side here and whatever happens, happens."
