Aberdeen forward Derek Young has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2011.
The 28-year-old is in his second spell with the Dons after rejoining from Partick Thistle in July 2007 after a four year spell away from Pittodrie.
Manager Jimmy Calderwood is a big fan of Young's after he signed the Scot when he was in charge of Dunfermline in 2003.
Young has scored once this season in 14 starts in the SPL and has just recovered from a number of niggling injuries that have restricted him to just two appearances in 2009.

"Jimmy has shown faith in me on several occasions now which is really pleasing although you'd think he would have learned from his mistakes," the player told the
club's official website.
"I didn't have too much to think about when I got the offer and right now all I want to do is get back into the starting eleven and help get this club back into Europe next season.
"The new boys here are probably sick of the rest of us telling them how good it was in the Uefa Cup last year but it was something special for everyone.
"In particular the fans, and something this squad is more than capable of repeating."
