Frazer Wright is disappointed Kilmarnock missed a great opportunity to end their dismal Rugby Park run against Rangers.
Killie extended their winless home run against Gers to 27 games following Saturday's goalless SPL encounter.
However, Kilmarnock had the advantage of playing against 10 men for much of the second half after Pedro Mendes was booked twice in the first half.
Danny Invincible's back-post header was saved in the second half while Jamie Hammill's volley cannoned off the far post to safety.
Wright is frustrated Kilmarnock failed to put to bed their woeful run against Walter Smith's side, although he insists their visit no longer holds any fears.
Had the chances
"We had the chances to win and I don't think Rangers created anything concrete which is the first time that's ever happened since I've been playing against them," he said.
"Danny had the best chance to win it with his header and when he was in that position I felt sure he was going to score.
"We hit the post with another chance although I'm told by a few of the boys Allan McGregor saved Hammill's effort.
"That's the way things have been going lately, we've not been taking our chances. It was about time we got a result against them here.
"We've been getting gubbed by them for far too long. But I think most teams play against Rangers and Celtic with more confidence than ever.
"When I first came here you didn't look forward to playing the Old Firm but now you think you have a chance."
