Slovenian stopper wants to join Bhoys in January transfer window

Marko Suler has given Celtic a come-and-get-me plea after expressing a wish to join the SPL giants. The Slovenia international is currently plying his trade in Belgium's top flight with KAA Gent, where he has spent the last three years playing in the heart of their defence. Suler, who caught the eye in the World Cup as Slovenia almost reached the knockout stages of the major finals, claims he nearly joined the Hoops in the summer. And the 27-year-old insists a move to Scotland could be on the cards in the January transfer window if Neil Lennon steps up his interest in his services.

Challenge

"I know many clubs are following me and yes Celtic are one of them," Suler told Zurnal24. "But I am trying not to think about this. The last time I was linked with this club a transfer did not happen because I got injured. "Celtic would be a nice challenge for me. I am quite sure Gent would not make it a problem because I have always been fair to them. "And yes I would like to make a further step in my career after three years in Belgium."
