Hearts striker undergoes successful surgery
Hearts manager Jim Jefferies has confirmed that striker Kevin Kyle underwent successful surgery on a double hernia this week.
Kyle has been absent with a groin and stomach problem since 11th January and saw a specialist on Tuesday.
The parties decided to act straight away, undergoing an operation in a bid to rectify the problem.
The Scotland international, who has seven SPL goals this season, is expected to return to action inside two weeks.
"We took him down to see a specialist and they've gone on a process of elimination and it was a double hernia which we got done immediately," explained Jefferies.
"(Dundee United striker) Jon Daly recovered in a couple of weeks from a hernia situation."
The Hearts boss added Kyle will resume training on Monday, saying: "Who knows? A couple of weeks and we might have him for the run-in."
