Rangers move too good to turn down

New Rangers signing Francisco Sandaza has revealed he turned down offers from the continent to sign for the Ibrox outfit. The former St Jonhstone player put pen to paper on a three-year deal and will go straight into the squad for Rangers' game against East Fife. Sandaza has expressed his desire to help Rangers return to the top flight and how he only found out about the possible deal a week ago. He told the club's official website: "I had some offers from the second division in Spain, from Cyprus and in Greece but Ally (McCoist) called me a week ago and told me about the project here. "It's a long project and we start from zero but I'll go for it and I think we will come back soon and I will do my best to be part of that."

Great club

The Spaniard found the net on 18 occasions for St Johnstone last season and Sandaza has admitted he has wanted to play for Rangers since he moved to Scotland four years ago. "When I arrived four years ago I didn't speak any English but I knew I wanted to play for a big club like this, at Ibrox in front of a full stadium." said Sandaza. "I'm happy that it's done now and I can't wait to start playing for this team. "I'm delighted to finally come here and to play for this great club, I wanted to come in January but that didn't happen."
