Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed central defender Jozo Simunovic is likely to be a key figure in his team for some time.
Rodgers was responding to questions about Simunovic possibly moving to Torino in the January transfer window.
A potential move to the Serie A club fell through at the end of August when Torino tried to buy the player at a cheaper price than already agreed with Celtic.
But having endured an injury-ravaged first season at Celtic Park, the former Dinamo Zagreb defender has impressed throughout the campaign, with Rodgers resting the player to avoid extra strain in his hamstring.
"He's only a boy really at 22 years of age and developing very, very well," said Rodgers.
"He's got all the attributes and still has improvements to make of course, but if you're a top club you would want someone like him.
"But he's very much a part of what we're building here."
