Jakobsen handed one-match ban after incorrect sending off
Aalborg defender Michael Beauchamp has had his red card rescinded after he was incorrectly sent-off during the UEFA Champions League 0-0 draw against Celtic on Wednesday night.
Beauchamp was dismissed by referee Matteo Simone Trefoloni for a foul on Hoops striker Georgios Samaras, which was actually committed by his defensive partner Michael Jakobsen with 11 minutes remaining.
Jakobsen has been handed a one-match ban instead, meaning he is set to miss Aalborg's next Champions League match against Manchester United in Denmark on 30th September.
Bruce Rioch's Aalborg are entitled to appeal Jakobsen's suspension within three days of receipt of the grounds for Uefa's decision.
