Celtic are offering free tickets to unemployed supporters for their Scottish Premiership game with Ross County on December 27.

The tickets are available on a first come, first served basis, and can be collected from the Celtic Park ticket office with the relevant documentation, for example a JSA or ESA letter, for verification.

“The initiative reflects our commitment to stay true to the founding principles of the club by helping those less fortunate and remain a club open to all,” read a statement on Celtic's official website.

“In the past year we have been working on improving fan engagement and this offer has been developed on the back of proposals put forward through this process.

“The gesture by the club follows the great work by the Celtic FC Foundation who have worked tirelessly to raise funds for their Annual Christmas Appeal which aids local families and charities at this special time of year.

“We hope by giving unemployed supporters the chance to attend Celtic Park for the match against Ross County it will bring some Christmas cheer to fans who may not otherwise have been able to do so.”
