Rangers defenders Clint Hill and Philippe Senderos will leave the club at the end of the season, according to Sky sources.

The 38-year-old Hill was signed as a free agent by former manager Mark Warburton on a one-year deal last summer after leaving Queens Park Rangers.

Hill had said he was hoping to stay at Ibrox and expected to hear this week if he would be offered a new contract.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha admits he has a 'massive job' re-building his squad this summer but won't be drawn on how many signings he has targeted

Manager Pedro Caixinha said he would begin advising the players this week as to whether they would have a future at the club beyond the summer but has decided to let Hill and Senderos depart.

Former Arsenal centre-half Senderos was ordered off on his debut in the 5-1 defeat to Celtic in September and only made three further appearances.

Hill made 31 appearances in all competitions this season, scored six goals, including a late equaliser against Celtic at Parkhead in March.
