Rangers have been handed an away trip to Scottish Championship rivals Hibernian in the first round of the Petrofac Training Cup.

The mouth-watering Easter Road fixture will provide the first competitive match for new Gers boss Mark Warburton and is a repeat of last year’s first round tie which Rangers won 2-1 after extra time.

All 30 teams from the Scottish Championship, League One and League Two were included in the draw, which was split into two regionalised north and south sections.

St. Mirren, who were relegated from the top flight last season, will face Berwick Rangers at home, while holders Livingston will host Clyde.

Raith Rovers, who beat Rangers in the final of the competition two years ago, face an away trip to Cowdenbeath while last year’s beaten Scottish Cup finalists Falkirk will take on East Fife.
