Inverness boss says there have been no approaches for striker

Terry Butcher has dismissed as 'nonsense' reports that Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker Adam Rooney could move to Russia. Rooney has impressed in the SPL this season after netting 13 goals to date, but his long-term future at Inverness is uncertain. His contract expires at the end of the season and the 22-year-old has yet to decide whether to accept Inverness' offer of an extension. Reports have claimed that Russian side Kuban Krasnodar want to sign the forward, but Caley Thistle boss Butcher has received no approaches for Rooney. Butcher said: "The boys have been calling him Oleg and comrade, he's been getting pelters. "There's nothing in that and still nothing in that. That's actually created a bit of fun in the dressing room and that's all it is, a piece of nonsense as far as we're concerned. "We have had no contact from anyone about any of my players. It's still early in the transfer window, I think the bulk of the business will be done towards the end."
