Aberdeen goalkeeper Jamie Langfield has been offered a new contract at the club, just 11 months after suffering a brain seizure.
The 32-year-old made his return at Inverness on Saturday, where he kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win and manager Craig Brown is keen to secure his future before his contract expires at the end of the season.
He told Red TV: "Jamie has been offered a new deal and a good contract, I think. He loves Aberdeen Football Club and I think his concern was that he was not going to be in contention for the number one goalkeeping spot.

"But here we are; he plays, we have a clean sheet and he plays exceptionally well so he is right in contention for being number one."
Jason Brown has been occupying the goalkeeping position for Aberdeen, but Brown was keen to stress that his omission from the Inverness game was not down to his performance in the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Hibernian.
He continued: "Jason wasn't dropped because of the semi-final, and he knew even had he kept a clean sheet in the semi-final, Jamie Langfield would be playing.
"It gives us great food for thought, and also gives competition for the number one spot which every club would be pleased about."

Meanwhile, Brown revealed that Rory Fallon's season could be over, after he suffered a knee injury at Inverness. The Dons manager said that the New Zealand international will have a scan to assess the damage.
