The Scottish Cup quarter-final draw had to be re-started after a malfunction on Monday evening

Rangers and Celtic were kept apart and handed home ties in the draw for the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Mark Warburton's side won their fifth-round replay at Premiership Kilmarnock and will face the winners of a February 23 replay between Dumbarton and Dundee.

Celtic face Championship opposition in Greenock Morton, who stunned Celtic Park in 2013 when they knocked the Hoops out of the League Cup third round.

Holders Inverness will travel to the capital to face Hibernian, who beat their Edinburgh rivals Hearts 1-0 in a replay having salvaged a 2-2 draw with two late goals in the first game.

Ross County will enjoy home advantage when they host Dundee United in an all-Premiership clash in Dingwall.

A slight malfunction with the balls containing the names of each team meant the process had to be restarted after Dundee United were originally handed a home tie with Celtic and Dumbarton or Dundee were drawn out of the hat with a home tie.

"With cup draws it is always nice to get a home tie but it won't be easy, that's for sure," he said. "Morton will come with thoughts of repeating the same scoreline [as in 2013] but hopefully with this squad we have enough to take care of them.

"Whoever we get we are going to be favourites to win the game, regardless of who we play, but we are happy with a home tie. We still need to go and take care of them and hopefully get to the semi-final.

"After the two performances against Ross County and Aberdeen it was just about getting the win [against East Kilbride]. Defeat was unthinkable. Regardless of the scoreline we wanted to get through the tie, we have done that, we'll have a good week's training this week and be ready for Ross County on Saturday."

Scottish Cup quarter-final draw:

Hibernian v Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Celtic v Greenock Morton

Ross County v Dundee United

Rangers v Dumbarton or Dundee

The ties will be played on March 5 and 6.
