Hibernian clinched the Scottish Championship title with an emphatic 3-0 victory at home to Queen of the South on Saturday.

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon could not hide his delight after the club secured promotion to the Scottish Premiership

Defender Darren McGregor scored twice from headers in the first half to give Hibs a commanding lead at the break.

David Gray was also on target as Hibs sealed promotion back to the Premiership.

Falkirk's 2-2 draw at home to St Mirren ensured Neil Lennon's side moved 11 points clear of the Bairns with three games left.

Rory Loy opened the scoring for St Mirren after just five minutes before Lee Miller tapped home an equaliser to leave the sides level at the interval.

Stephen McGinn restored the Buddies' lead just before the hour but substitute Bob McHugh secured a point for Falkirk with a late equaliser to keep their playoff hopes on track.

The point for St Mirren was enough for them to leapfrog Dumbarton in the table after two late goals condemned them to a 2-0 home defeat by Dunfermline.

Rhys McCabe and David Hopkirk both struck in the final 10 minutes for the visitors.

With a poorer goal difference than St Mirren, the loss leaves Dumbarton second-bottom with three games to play.

Elsewhere, Raith Rovers were 2-0 winners over Morton as goals from Craig Barr and Ross Matthews secured all three points for the home side.
