Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon has been handed an immediate three-match touchline ban following his dismissal against Kilmarnock.

Lennon has also been given a further two-match suspended ban by a Scottish Football Association disciplinary panel after being guilty of misconduct following his complaints over a penalty award for Kilmarnock.

The former Celtic captain and manager was also "censured" over his post-match comments about referee Kevin Clancy, the SFA said.

Lennon described officiating in Scotland as "Mickey Mouse", saying the standard of referees was declining.

He later said he regretted his reaction to being sent off during Hibernian's 2-2 draw with Kilmarnock, but insisted the referee was wrong to dismiss him.

Lennon will now miss the trip to St Johnstone on Friday, as well as home games against Partick Thistle and Hamilton Accies.
