Motherwell have lodged an appeal against the red card shown to Cedric Kipre in their 0-0 draw with Celtic on Sunday.
The French defender was dismissed for violent conduct by referee Craig Thomson in the 41st minute of the game at Fir Park, but Motherwell insist he should not have been sent off.
Kipre appeared to kick out at Celtic skipper Scott Brown as they fell to the floor following a challenge.
"The club believes this is a case of wrongful dismissal and, having submitted a Player Reference to the Scottish FA on behalf of the player, the matter will now go to a fast track tribunal," the club said in a statement.
"The principal hearing will take place on Thursday 22 March 2018."
Kipre has now been sent off twice by the same referee this season, with Thomson having also dismissed him in Celtic's League Cup final win in November.
