The French defender was dismissed for violent conduct by referee Craig Thomson in the 41st minute of the game at Fir Park, but Motherwell insist he should not have been sent off.

Celtic could not find a way past 10-man Motherwell as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Fir Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

"The club believes this is a case of wrongful dismissal and, having submitted a Player Reference to the Scottish FA on behalf of the player, the matter will now go to a fast track tribunal," the club said in a statement.

"The principal hearing will take place on Thursday 22 March 2018."
