Angers closed the gap on second-place Monaco to two points after thrashing them 3-0 on Saturday.

Cheikh Ndoye netted a first-half double and Mohamed Yattara added a third after half-time for the home side as they eased to victory.

Elsewhere, Wissam Ben Yedder missed a last-minute penalty for Toulouse as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Guingamp. Younousse Sankhare opened the scoring after 12 minutes for Guingamp, then Ben Yedder levelled from the penalty spot.

Jimmy Briand then scored the winner for the away side before Ben Yedder missed from the spot, and Toulouse then saw Issa Diop sent off late on for a second yellow card.

Zargo Toure's double either side of half-time secured a 2-0 win for Lorient over Reims, and Guillaume Gillet scored the only goal as Nantes won 1-0 at Troyes

Bastia's Brandao scored the only goal in a 1-0 home win over Lyon, although they saw Gilles Cioni sent off late on, and Mustapha Yatabare, Jonas Martin's penalty and a Bryan Dabo double secured a 4-0 victory for Montpellier at Ajaccio

On Friday night, 10-man Marseille nicked a 1-1 draw at home to Lille. Abdelaziz Barrada was sent off after Sebastien Corchia had opened the scoring, but Antoine Rabillard grabbed an equaliser in the 90th minute at the Stade Velodrome.
